F.P. Journe Quantième Perpétuel Boutique Edition
The F.P. Journe Quantième Perpétuel Ref. QP is François-Paul Journe’s distinctive interpretation of the perpetual calendar, combining one of traditional watchmaking’s most important complications with the highly legible and technically innovative design language of the Octa collection.
This 40mm platinum Boutique Edition is distinguished by its blue guilloché silver dial, a configuration exclusively available through F.P. Journe Boutiques and Espaces when purchased new.
Instantaneous Perpetual Calendar
Unlike a conventional annual calendar, the Quantième Perpétuel automatically accounts for months of different lengths as well as the four-year leap-year cycle, requiring no calendar correction until 2100, assuming the watch remains continuously running.
Calendar information is displayed clearly through apertures for the day and month at 12 o’clock, a large double-aperture date at 6 o’clock, and a centrally positioned leap-year indicator. A power-reserve display sits at 9 o’clock.
The calendar indications are designed to change instantaneously, allowing F.P. Journe to present a technically sophisticated perpetual calendar with unusual visual simplicity.
Calibre 1300.3 in 18K Rose Gold
The Quantième Perpétuel is powered by F.P. Journe’s automatic Calibre 1300.3, constructed in 18K rose gold and visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback.
The movement features an off-centre 22K gold guilloché rotor, operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), and delivers an exceptional 160 ± 10 hours of power reserve.
The movement combines traditional haute horlogerie finishing with practical usability, including a discreet corrector integrated into the case for adjustment of the month and leap year.
Platinum Boutique Edition
This Boutique Edition pairs a 40mm platinum case with F.P. Journe’s distinctive blue guilloché silver dial, white-gold numerals and apertures, and rhodium-plated steel hands.
The blue-dial platinum configuration is particularly associated with F.P. Journe’s Boutique Collection and is offered exclusively through the manufacture’s own Boutiques and Espaces when new. Auction houses likewise identify this configuration specifically as the Octa Quantième Perpétuel “Boutique Edition.”
